24 inch E. Howard Gallery Clock with Marble Dial – Bloomfield. Large 24-inch white marble dial signed “E. Howard & Co. Boston” has large applied pierced bronze Roman hour numerals and dots with large pierced bronze hands; 8 day time only weight driven movement is signed on the front plate “E. Howard & Co., 12 1/2″, has anchor escapement, four solid brass pulleys, lead horseshoe weight, ebonized wood pendulum stick with brass damascened bob, sub-time adjustment dial on the rear plate. In a carved and painted wood gallery case with filigree carved shoulder corbels, in excellent condition. The E. Howard Gallery Clock is running, no repairs to case or damage to the marble 34.5-inch High x 54-inch wide x 6.5 inches deep. This massive clock was sold at Fontaine’s Auction on November 11, 2017 in Pittsfield MA.
